We might have heard this a hundred thousand times that One should be grateful for every little thing one has in their life, but why is that so? How really does being grateful or having a thankful gesture benefit greater happiness?

Here is how it helps and trick our mind to fall for things we respect and are thankful for.

No Expectations Expectations hurt the most. This is the most important aspect in life that one should follow diligently. A person will only get hurt when he is expecting something from someone and do not receive the same thing as expected. This is life, this is going to happen, however, one should change their outlook and perceive it in a different way which would be beneficial to both parties. Expectation is the Mother of all Frustration. Improve your reality and lower your expectations.

If you want to do something for someone, do it, but, don’t ever expect anything or the same thing in return, rather, be glad to be of service. This will make you happy and a bigger person and a step ahead towards maturity.

Happiness → It helps a person to be happy which is because of the fact that if you are grateful for your life, your achievements you have in your life, be it a small or a big one, if you are satisfied with what you have without having to compare it with others, it automatically gives you a sense of great joy causing the feeling of recognition of your efforts, rather than the insatiable longing of what’s just out of your reach. Just don’t be picky, feel contentment, fondness, and appreciate every little aspect of your belongings, feelings, actions, and notions. It is an asset towards your long-term growth and success.

“It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.” -Charles Spurgeon

Nobody really cares if you’re miserable, so you might as well be happy.

Reduces Stress → Who wants to be stressed out in life? No one!!! If you really expect your life to be grateful to you, you first have to reduce the unnecessary stress that you are carrying. Being grateful helps release chemicals like dopamine, which is associated with pleasure, and serotonin, which regulates our mood, also up to a certain amount of oxytocin, a hormone that induces feelings like trust and generosity which promotes social bonding, and feeling connected, indirectly helping the reduction of tension, reduces pain, and even improve our immune. The psychology research have also proven that feeling happy helps people feel more positive emotions, attract positivity, attain and experience good, improve health, deal with adverse episode and finally build strong relationships.

So, think of the benefits of not giving strain to your brain, and how helping it to work towards your happiness by simply being glad, and graceful is of great advantage.

You are the lucky one, somebody didn’t wake up today but you did. That’s enough to stop complaining and stressing things. Never let your troubles blind you to your daily blessings :)

You are No Less!!!

Improve self-esteem →If you feel happy, it automatically gives you a sense of confidence, if you worry less, it automatically makes you feel good about yourself and if you feel pleasant and delighted by your own self, then nothing like it. Research has also shown that people who are grateful tend to have higher self-esteem, which in turn assists in high productivity and executing great milestones.

This would also change the perspective and the outlook you hold for yourself thereby understanding self-worth and eventually helping promote positivity.

Feeling gratitude and grateful is really simple. Always remember, the first step to end the struggle is to start being grateful. Acknowleging the good or learning from the bad you have in your life is the foundation of all the abundance.

Practice and cultivate the habit of being thankful for all the things coming your way. Start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart.

Gratitude is the Best Attitude.

Happy reading!!!!!!!!
